1997 CADE Annual Conference
Join your colleagues across Canada for a three- in-one conference -- a computer
conference, an audio-conference and a local discussion make up the 1997 CADE/ACED
(Virtual) Conference. Practitioners and researchers at over 20 sites across 6 time zones
will "be there" to discuss issues around the theme of "The Virtual Educator".
1. Computer-Conference
Between May 19 - June 2, 1997, two weeks prior to the national audio-conference, a
discussion will take place on the CADE Listserv based on a set of bilingual case studies.
Paid registrants will receive a conference package including instructions and the case
studies by early May.
2. Audio-Conference
On June 4, 1997, there will be two simultaneous audio-conferences, one Francophone,
and the other Anglo-phone. A multi-sectoral panel will kick-start discussions with
analyses and responses to the case studies.
3. Local Discussions (2:00-3:00 p.m. ET)
Discussions continue with local colleagues to share information, and raise questions for
further research and professional development.
The conference is coordinated by the University of Saskatchewan (at Saskatoon),
where two other national conferences will also be held during the same week -- CAUCE
(Canadian Association for Uni-versity Continuing Education) and AMTEC (Associa-tion
