The image metadata scheme is an adaptation of an extended Dublin Core-based scheme developed by Jane Hunter, a renowned expert on multimedia indexing from Australia's Distributed Systems Technology Centre. The scheme has been qualified and extended to meet the Centre's unique requirements, which include outputting records in other metadata standards and tracking relationships among levels and types of metadata. DC.Subject	The topic of the content of the resource, typically expressed in keywords, key phrases, or classification codes that describe a topic of the resource.
DC.Description	An account of the content of the resource, which may include an abstract, table of contents, or free text.
DC.Publisher	An entity responsible for making the resource available.
DC.Contributor	An entity responsible for making contributions to the content of the resource. Qualifiers: .name .type .role
DC.Date	The date the resource was made available in its present form. Recommended best practice is an 8 digit number in the form YYYY-MM-DD as defined in http://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime, a profile of ISO 8601. Qualifiers: .created .recordCreated
DC.Type	The nature or genre of the content of the resource. Type should be chosen from an enumerate list recommended by the Dublin Core Type Working Group. See http://www.dublincore.org/documents/2000/07/11/dcmi-type-vocabulary/ for the type list for simple Dublin Core.
DC.Format	The physical or digital manifestation of the resource. Fromat should be chosen from an enumberated list such as the IANA media types: http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/iana/assignments/media-types/media-types Qualifiers: .fileSize .dimensions .colourdepth
DC.Identifier	A reference to the resource within a given context e.g. URL, URI, ISBN, filename, etc.
DC.Source	Information about a resource from which the present resource is directly derived. Use a text value of the title or name of a resource from which the present resource is directly derived, plus the identifier, if known, to isolate it.
DC.Language	The language of the intellectual content of the resource.
DC.Relation	A reference to a related resource. Qualifiers: .hasFormat .isFormatOf .isPartOf
DC.Coverage	The extent or scope of the content of the resource. Typically it includes spatial location, temporal period, or jurisdiction. Qualifiers: .periodName .placeName
DC.Rights	Information about rights held in and over the resource, typically an identifier that links to a rights management or usage statement.

ETC.AltID	A pointer to an alternate identifier; this could be used to link separate databases.
ETC.Capture	The equipment used to capture a digital image.
ETC.CD	A pointer to the CD Rom on which an image resides.
ETC.FileName	Since a .jpg has both a URL and a filename, ETC.fileName is used to identify and locate it on CD.
ETC.Location	A CD Rom's physical location.
ETC.Relation	A provisional element that relates a cropped jpeg to its uncropped source image. It also flags cropped jpegs.
ETC.Sequence	An image's position in relation to a sequence of images associated with a parent object.
ETC.Type	An extended type for finer grained searching.
ETC.Unit	The source image's type within the context of a print document; e.g. "Page 1", "Cover", etc.
