Notes for Contributors
Papers accepted become the copyright of the journal, unless otherwise specifically
agreed. Manuscripts should be sent to: Dr. Basu Sharma, Management
Futures, 297 Kimble Drive, Fredericton, NB, Canada E3B 6YI. Articles can
be considered only if two complete copies of each manuscript are
submitted. They should be typed on one side of the paper, double spaced,
with ample margins, and bear the title of the contribution and name(s),
of the author(s). The full postal address of the author who will check
proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included.
All pages should be numbered.
If the article is typed on a word-processor, a disk should accompany
the typescript. Disks should be labeled with the title of the article,
the author's name and the software used. If using DOS word processing software,
save the document in a DOS or ASCII format with soft carriage returns.
Authors should insert only enough commands to provide a legible printout.
Ideally such a manuscript should be formatted with regard to the following
guidelines:
1. Do not use tabs except in tables.
2. Do not use headers, footers, or pagination.
3. Do not indent block quotations.
4. Do not hypenate or otherwise break words across lines.
5. Do not justify text. In other words, leave the right margin ragged.
6. Do not place lines or boxes around type, as copy within the these
areas will not translate.
Figures. Please supply one set of artwork in a finished form,
suitable for reproduction.
References. Should be indicated in the typescript by giving the
author's name, with the year of publication in parentheses. If several
papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b, c, etc.
should be put after the year of publication. The references should be listed
in full at the end of the paper in the following standard from:
Deming, W.E. (1986). Out of the crisis.
Cambridge, MA, MIT Center
for Advanced Engineering Study.
Kondo, Y. (1990). Emphases of Japanese total quality management in the
1980s. Total Quality Management,
1, 23-32.
Titles of journals should not be abbreviated.
Proofs will be sent to the authors if there is sufficient time
to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the publisher within
three days. Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted.
Page Fee and Offprints. The journal charges a page fee of U.S. $15 per printed page. Twenty offprints of each paper are supplied free. Additional copies may be purchased and should be ordered when the proofs are returned. Offprints, together with a complete copy of the relevant journal issue, are sent about three weeks after publication.
