Seminar Room (HIL Room 109): Helpful Hints
- Equipment
- A presentation remote, flip chart, portable whiteboard, overhead projector, DVD and VCR player, and VGA connector for MacBooks are available upon request.
- Food/Drink
- Food is not permitted in the lab. Covered cups and water bottles are allowed. Breaks may be taken in the café located at the library entrance.
- Login
- To access Novell-delivered applications:
- Location: Select UNB or STU
- Username: UNB or STU Login ID
- Password: PIN
- Photocopiers
- Photocopiers are located on the second floor, last door on the right off the central hallway. To operate the photocopiers, you can use coin, print credits, or copy cards that can be purchased at the Commons Service Desk (1st floor).
- Printing
- Printing is done through the student network, using the print credit system, with print jobs collected from the printer located at the back of the room. Printing is not available from the instructor's workstation.
- Shutdown
- At the end of the session, please
- Turn SMART Board, computer, and monitor off.
- Turn keyboard and mouse off.
- Return items to the podium.
- Lock the podium.
- SMART Board
- The accessory kit is located in the podium. A key to the podium is available from Grace Martin (453-4729 or emartin@unb.ca in the Periodical Office (next to the Seminar Room). If Grace Martin is unavailable, ask at the Research Help Desk on the main floor. Contact Marc Bragdon at 458-7741 or mbragdon@unb.ca for an overview of the SMART Board.
- Telephone
- Pay phones are located in the basement on either side of the front entrance.
- Washrooms
- Washrooms and fountains are located at either end of the 1st floor corridor.
