Cell Phone Policy - Fredericton

UNB Libraries is committed to providing a welcoming environment that is conducive to study and research with respect to the use of cell phones and computer-based voice communications. We ask that you please observe the following courtesies within our libraries:

  • Turn cell phone ringers off or set to a non-audible signal;
  • Please use a quiet voice to avoid disturbing others;
  • Cell phones may be used only in designated "Cell Phone Zones" *:
    • Harriet Irving Library
      • HIL entrance (between doors)
      • Enclosed stairwells
      • Group study rooms
      • Coffee Shop Seating Area
    • Science & Forestry Library
      • IUC breezeway
    • Engineering Library
      • C level corridor
  • People not willing to comply with this policy may be asked to leave the library.

* UNB maintenance and security personnel may use cell phones in all areas as needed.
