Scope and content: This sub-series contains background information about ship railways, descriptions of the Chignecto Ship Railway project, an endorsement of it by London and Liverpool shipowners, progress reports on construction, and a report on expected traffic.
It also includes copies of professional papers, some read before the Canadian Society of Engineers, as well as minutes of proceedings at deputations to Charles Tupper and G. E. Foster.
