Series 3.1 contains typescripts, manuscripts, journals, and photocopies of published and unpublished articles, editorials, and undergraduate essays written by Dr. Pacey. Files are arranged alphabetically by article or essay title.

Included in this series are articles and editorials written by Pacey during his undergraduate years at Victoria College, University of Toronto in the nineteen thirties. Pacey was a member of the editorial staff of the Victoria College publication Acta Victoriana, and many of the files contain material published in this journal (Case 22 Files 1 and 14; Case 23 Files 1,4,6,7,13,17,18,22,27).

Many of Dr. Pacey's undergraduate essays have been included in this series because they document his early development as a writer and critic (Case 22 Files 3, 20, 23; Case 23 Files 8, 9, 20, 24, 25).

Full journal issues, manuscripts, offprints, and photocopies of other journal articles and unpublished articles comprise the remainder of this series.
