Series D comprises typescripts, manuscripts and computer printouts of a selection of David Adams Richards' literary writings, including articles, newspaper columns, essays, poems, short stories, interviews, plays, book reviews, and screenplays. Of particular note is the typescript of his unpublished novel, Donna.

File titles are based on the file titles provided by the initial inventory undertaken by the National Library of Canada. The screenplays are arranged alphabetically by title.
