Series G - Computer disks

Computer disks. -- 1986-1995. 59 floppy disks, converted to CD-ROM.

The final series in the David Adams Richards Fonds consists of 59 floppy disks containing drafts and final copies of many of his literary works, including Evening Snow Will Bring Such Peace, Nights Below Station Street, For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down, and Small Gifts, together with several files of correspondence.

Computer disks have a very limited shelf life; consequently, conservation measures were undertaken to copy all the files to CD-ROM.

Eight of the 59 floppy disks were defective, and the information was not able to be retrieved or transferred to CD-ROM.
