Scope and content: This series documents Walker's trips to Africa, India, Greece, the Middle East, and the Canadian North. The bulk of the material relates to his Canadian journeys on the Mackenzie River and in the Arctic which he later used as background for Where The High Winds Blow.

It includes correspondence, itineraries, notes, pamphlets, maps, and photographs as well as a scrapbook containing travel notes and photographs of Walker's 1933 trip to India via Greece and the Middle East. Much correspondence is concerned with arranging transportation, making appropriate contacts, procuring letters of introduction, and finalizing itineraries. Walker's notes offer a detailed and chronological account of his travels.
