CaSTA 2006: Breadth of Text - A Joint Computer Science and Humanities Computing Conference
Conference Program

CaSTA 2006 is an international, joint Computer Science/Humanities Computing conference on text analysis.  The conference will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada from October 11 – 15 in conjunction with a meeting of the TAPoR Executive Committee.  Papers and Keynote talks will speak to one or more sub-themes falling under the broad concept of text-analysis:

·Text analysis (from a Humanities Computing perspective)
·Interface Design and usability issues
·Applying Computer Science research to textual questions

The conference will also offer a series of pre-conference workshops, presentations based on peer reviewed papers, keynote talks, and a closing discussion on research questions of common interest to Humanists, Computer and Information Scientists.
