CANADIAN ALCOHOL AND DRUG SURVEY, 1994

The first National Alcohol and Other Drugs Survey (NADS) was conducted in 1989; the Canadian Alcohol and Drug Survey was conducted in 1994 to provide an update to NADS. CADS was similar to the earlier survey, but incorporates an emphasis on "at risk" populations, as defined by Canada's Drug Strategy, Phase II. Documentation for this survey is available in print in the Documents Department, or in electronic format by downloading the files indicated below. There are 12,155 cases in this file.

STEPS TO OBTAIN DATA FILES:

Links to electronic versions of documentation and SPSS or SAS command files are provided where they exist.

1. Click on the file you require to download the datafile to your hard drive. This will take you to the Statistics Canada DLI license under which the files are provided to UNB Libraries. After entering your email account, an authorization screen will appear.
