UNB Libraries Canadian Alcohol and Drug Use Monitoring Survey, 2008The Canadian Alcohol and Drug Use Monitoring Survey (CADUMS) is an on-going survey on alcohol and other substance use, undertaken by the Controlled Substances and Tobacco Directorate, Health Canada. The Canadian Alcohol and Drug Use Monitoring Survey (CADUMS) was launched by Health Canada in 2008 to provide timely, reliable, and continual data on alcohol and drug use and related issues. CADUMS is conducted by telephone with a representative sample of Canadians from each province in the general population aged 15 years and older. It is the first national survey focusing on alcohol and drug use since the Canadian Addiction Survey of 2004. Because of the similarities in design and approach, comparisons of results and changes between the Canadian Addiction Survey 2004 and the CADUMS 2008 are possible.. The 2008 survey had a sample size of 16,674, and there are 374 variables in the data file (see CADUMS for details). Documentation
