NATIONAL ELECTRONIC MEDIA USE SURVEY (1996):The National Electronic Media Survey was a national survey with the objectives of determining:
The goal of the survey was to collect approximately 1000 French and 1000 English responses in order to produce representative national statistics for Canadians 15+ . This was later modified, however, to include only Canadians 18+. This change was made in order to accomodate the client's (the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) need for data comparability with previous collection periods. A codebook is available in print form in the Government Documents, Data and Maps Department, 3rd Floor, Harriet Irving Library. The following files are available for this survey:
STEPS TO OBTAIN DATA FILES:Links to electronic versions of documentation and SPSS or SAS command files are provided where they exist. 1. Click on the file you require to download the datafile to your hard drive. This will take you to the Statistics Canada DLI license under which the files are provided to UNB Libraries. After entering your email account, an authorization screen will appear. 2. You must enter your PIN number and your email address to obtain the file. Only authorized users may download files from this site.
