Citing Government Documents and Data Files

It is often difficult to know what you need for citing government documents, data files or statistical tables in a bibliography. The following resources are intended as guides to assist you; however, keep in mind the style you were directed to use by your professor. Statistics Canada has provided a user guide to help out with their files. See, particularly, the "Examples" from the Table of Contents on the left of the screen for handy examples of how to cite E-STAT tables or Census Profiles.
