Statistics Canada
  • Statistics Canada Catalogue: search Statistics Canada's online catalogue. Tick the box marked "DLI" at the bottom of the search page to get data files.

  • BiblioCat, the catalogue of the library at Statistics Canada in Ottawa

  • IDLS (University of Western Ontario): Through a partnership arrangement with the University of Western Ontario, IDLS provides a variable-level search engine to identify surveys of interest. Links are provided to aggregate data in Beyond 20/20 tables, and users are able to create subsets from DLI microdata files. Note: This link takes you to the Conditions of Use for DLI files; you must agree to these conditions before using the search engine or the data.

  • Data Library Service, U of T. : search for variables in Statistics Canada's surveys on the University of Toronto's Data Library Service site (select "UT/DLS Inventory of Holdings")

ICPSR Data Files

  • ICPSR by subject: Search by subject, by title, author or study number for surveys archived by ICPSR. All files can be downloaded by authorized UNB Libraries students and faculty directly from ICPSR upon acceptance of conditions of use.

  • COPAFS: Also of interest is the Council of Profesional Associations on Federal Statistics web site, a starting point for U.S. federal statistics

  • FEDSTATS, U.S. Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy, providing searchable access to statistics from over 70 agencies of the U.S. government

  • OFFSTATS: Links to international and national WWW-based sources of official statistics on the Web by Rainer Wolcke, Intern. Commerce & Statistics Librarian, University of Auckland Library

  • BIRON, search the holdings of the Data Archive at Essex University
