Biographical Sketch : Oswald Crocket (1868-1945) was first elected to the House of Commons as M.P. for York County on Nov. 3, 1904. After being twice re-elected, he resigned his seat on Dec. 13, 1913 when he was appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick. From 1932-1943 Crocket sat on the Supreme Court of Canada.

Scope and Content : This fonds consists of correspondence generated during Crocket's years as a Member of Parliament. It reflects his involvement with various aspects of his constituency, in particular the militia, rural mail contracts, public works, election organization and employment on the Intercolonial Railway. Some family letters are included.
