Series 4:  Correspondence.  -- 1930-1975. -- 10.5 cm of textual material.

Scope and Content: This series contains personal, official and legal correspondence written to both Jean and Gustav Hübener, as well as limited correspondence written by Jean Hübener.  Included are items such as investment and income tax notices, banking letters, university-related correspondence, letters dealing with Gustavs death and his estate, correspondence concerning the book which Jean Hübener was working on entitled Enemies of the State.  A Study of the Intellectual Resistance in Nazi Germany, as well as greeting cards and invitations.  Several letters were written by and concerning Trudy Maag, a graduate student who was working with Jean Hübener.

Arrangement is chronological.

Title: Title is based on contents of the series.
