Sir
We have the honour herewith to
enclose our account for
the year 1841 as Commissioners
of Indians for the County
of Northumberland and
trust that the manner in
which we have expended
the money placed at our
disposal may meet with
His Excellencys approbation.
From the liberal sum
apportioned to this county
we were enabled under
the personal superinsendance
of the Revd. M Egan
to relieve many aged and
infirm persons and several
casual cases of distress
that came under our
notice besides furnishing
a small quantity of seed
potatoes to those deserving.
We earnestly request that His Excellency will make
as liberal an allowance
to this county this year
as possible; and that you
will cause an early
issue of the warrant that
we may know what
quantity of seed to furnish
to each family.
We have the honour to be
Sir
Hon Wm F Odell
Your most obdt servts.
