Scope and Content: This series contains 34 scrapbooks compiled by Alvin Shaw, divided into two sub-series. The first sub-series, (4 volumes), documents Shaw's military service in World War II and the immediate post-war period, including memorabilia from his travels abroad, as well as official military documents. The second sub-series, (30 volumes), contains ephemera such as programs and clippings related to theater, mostly from his time spent at the University of New Brunswick.

2. Drama Scrapbooks. -- 1939 - 1971.

Notes:

Title: Title is based on contents of the series.

Physical Condition: Many of these scrapbooks are in poor condition. Pages are falling out, and glue and tape has become unstuck, resulting in loose material within the scrapbook.

Terms Governing Use and Reproduction: The physical condition of the scrapbooks allows for very little reproduction of these materials. Permission from archives staff is required on an item to item basis.
