These subject guides provide research tips and list recommended library resources for most subject areas taught at UNB and STU. Guides for selected special topics are also included.

Fredericton
Cool Tools sessions are designed to encourage a greater familiarity with library and information sources, to promote an understanding of general research skills and strategies, and to help develop the ability to access different types of information effectively through a combination of demo instruction and hands-on practice.
Saint John
Librarians at the Ward Chipman Library are available to provide specialized instruction for classes upon faculty request. As well, the library also offers a series of Research Workshops and Library Shorts for faculty, staff, and students. Past sessions have included: More Than Just Keywords: Search Skills and the Research Process; Identifying and Accessing Grey Literature; Applied Critical Thinking: Valuing Retrieved Resources; and The Scholarly Side of Google. Similar sessions may also be offered on request at other times.
